The principal of Stark Reality Marketing, Gene Stark, has 15 years of experience in marketing and advertising. Gene has worked on some of Australia's biggest brands, including:

Bunnings, Coles Myer Group, Fosters Group, Ansett, Tattersalls, Nissan, Mars, Masterfoods, Uncle Bens, PAL, Swisse Multivitamins, Tetley Tea, Berri Juice.

Over the last 4 years, Gene has provided marketing and communication advice to over 100 SME’s and has written and publicly spoken extensively on the marketing challenges facing the driving force of the Australian economy – small business.

SIMONE COHEN - BA/BBus, Marketing, Psychology, Japanese

Simone is a strategic marketer who has enjoyed the success of managing a range of successful and high profile brands for various businesses in Australasia such as Novartis, AV Jennings, Primus.

Having managed sales targets in excess of $10m and advertising budgets of $1m+, Simone has also run her own marketing consultancy prior to joining Stark Reality and together with David Southwick is involved with a new networking “think tank” group assisting Entrepreneurs to look at business opportunities into the future called “Futurevation.”

DAVID SOUTHWICK – BBus, GradDip Mktng

David is an Entrepreneur who has founded numerous successful business operations, represented Australian small business overseas at APEC, and maintained a strong involvement in helping develop Australian Youth.

David founded the cosmetics company, The Body Collection in 1992 which he sold six years later after building it to a six million dollar a year business.

David has been working with a number of Entrepreneurs in assisting them to establish their own new businesses ventures in Australia and providing them with strategic direction, partnering opportunities and venture capital to develop their businesses. David is involved on a number of boards:

- Chairman of the National Advisory Board Australian Network of Practice Firms, Canberra, ACT
- Chairman of the Alumni Association of Victoria University
- President of the Ardoch Youth Foundation
- Deputy Chairman on the Foundation Board of Victoria University
- Senior Vice President of Try Youth & Community Services
- Board Member Big Brother, Big Sister

- Board Member of the Faculty of Business Course Advisory Board for Victoria University

and is currently working with Victoria Universities Faculty of Business as an Adjunct Fellow of External Engagement and Entrepreneurship, whilst also being the Managing Director of Ice Events.
